She loves fashion, and designed and made all the clothes you see her wearing. Sahara is Marisa’s best friend, and the leader of their Overworld team: the Cherry Dogs. But why was she in THAT car, at THAT time, with THAT particular driver? She can’t remember, and no one will tell her…. That metal on her left arm isn’t just a weird sleeve–that’s her actual arm, which she lost in a car accident when she was two years old its now replaced with a mechanical prosthetic. By day she’s a high school student and semi-pro player in a virtual reality video game called Overworld, but by night she’s a hacker, exploring the darker corners of the Internet for secrets. She lives in LA with her family, in a neighborhood called Mirador, in the year 2050. (If not, read the first three chapters here!) Either way, we love coming up with our own ideas of what the characters in our favorite books would look like in real life, and this time Dan Wells has done it for us! Check out these awesome character portraits and profiles, written by Dan, of the main players in BLUESCREEN: MARISA BLUESCREEN by Dan Wells is out and if you’ve had the chance to read it, you’ve met Marisa and her crew from Mirador.
